Every year, the Nobel Peace Center creates a new exhibition about the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. This year’s exhibition is about the japanese organisation Nihon Hidankyo, and the Hibakusha and their work for a world free of nuclear weapons.

Time: 12 Dec 2024 10:00 - 19:00 CEST
Place: Nobel Peace Center

The exhibition will be officially opened by representatives of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nihon Hidankyo on 11 Dec. The day after, on 12 December, it opens to the public.

Learn to fold origami

In celebration of the opening of our new exhibition, the Nobel Peace Center invites you to origami folding on the second floor, led by three experts from Japan. The paper crane is deeply connected to Japanese culture and the legacy of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It symbolizes peace, hope, and healing.

Guided tours

In connection with the exhibition opening, we will offer guided tours of the exhibition. Join us to hear testimonies and stories of those who survived the atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
