Winter Break at the Nobel Peace Center
The Nobel Peace Center will be open as usual during the winter holidays in Oslo February 18-23 and offers a variety of exciting activities. Discover our exhibitions, join a heartwarming reading session, experience the museum in the evening, or learn how to fold a Japanese crane. There’s something for everyone, regardless of age! As always, children under 18 have free admission to the museum.
READING SESSION OF CHILDREN’S STORIES FROM GAZA
“Good Night Gaza - Stories from Palestine for children all over the world” is the adventure book that has touched all of Norway. The book, initiated by Plan International, is a collection of Palestinian tales and songs with the hope of conveying the universal beauty of parents telling stories to their children to help them sleep peacefully and dream sweetly. When everything familiar is destroyed, storytelling can be one way to create safe spaces.
For those that know Norwegian or Arabic, or both
From Wednesday to Sunday during the winter break, weinviteyou to join a readingsession of Good Night Gaza. Asmee Salim will read in Arabic, and Karoline Dons will read in Norwegian. The reading starts at 12:00 (exceptThursday, when it starts at 13:00). On Wednesday, February 19th, Kari Helene Partapouli, Secretary General at Plan Norway, will also introduce the book.
