LATE NIGHTS AT THE NOBEL PEACE CENTER
Every Wednesday, the Nobel Peace Center is open until 20:00, with half-price admission from 17:00. And every week, something exciting happens; topical discussions, lectures, film screenings, and themed tours. The events and tours of the exhibitions are included in the ticket, so if you visit us on Wednesday evening, you get extra value for your admission fee.
On April 9, 1940, Nazi Germany attacked Norway, starting what would become five years of occupation. How did the occupation affect society and everyday life for people? Who chose resistance, and who chose to collaborate with the occupying power? What dilemmas did Norwegian politicians face? On May 8, 1945, Norway was free again, and the settlement followed immediately. How should we judge the legal settlement 80 years later?
On this day you will meet:
- Øystein Sørensen, Professor Emeritus, University of Oslo
- Guri Hjeltnes, Professor Emerita and former director at HL-senteret
- Eirik Løkke, Advisor at Civita and conversation leader
