Spring 2025 at the Nobel Peace Center
In the spring of 2025, the Nobel Peace Center offers a diverse program with talks, lectures, film screenings, tours, and other activities. The event calendar is updated regularly.
Late Nights on Wednesdays
Every Wednesday, we invite you to our Late Nights at the museum. The exhibitions will be open until 8:00 PM, and entrance tickets will be half price from 5:00 PM. Each week, there will be an event included in the ticket. Bring your friends, family, or colleagues and experience the museum in the evening. Listen to engaging conversations, learn something new, and enjoy a drink.
We kick off on Wednesday, January 22, with Historical Nobel Peace Prize Laureates: Jimmy Carter (in Norwegian).
The Doomsday clock
The following week, on Wednesday, January 29, we invite you to an exciting conversation about the Doomsday Clock and the current nuclear threat (in English), in collaboration with the local organisation Nei til atomvåpen (No to Nuclear Weapons). This is part of our Nobel Peace Talks series, where we explore various topics related to the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize, awarded to the Japanese organisation for survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Nihon Hidankyo.
Together with the fact checkers at Faktisk.no, we will continue the conversation about nuclear weapons and invite you to “Faktapub” on February 12 (in Norwegian). Join us in uncovering myths and facts about nuclear weapons!
Sneak peek of a documentary on U.S. nuclear policy
On April 9, we will be joined by American filmmaker Paul Jay, who will present his new documentary “How to Stop Nuclear War” (in English). The film is based on the book Doomsday Machine by Daniel Ellsberg, the whistleblower behind the Pentagon Papers. Just before Ellsberg passed away in 2023, Jay interviewed him about U.S. nuclear weapons policy and how Russia's invasion of Ukraine has made the world more dangerous.
Stay tuned on our website for more Nobel Peace Talks throughout the spring!
Weekends at the Nobel Peace Center
Make it a weekend trip to the Nobel Peace Center and join our guided tours, included in the entrance ticket on Saturdays and Sundays. Learn about Alfred Nobel, how the Peace Prize came to be, and the various laureates from 1901 to 2024. You can also explore the work of Nobel Peace Prize laureate 2024 Nihon Hidankyo for a world free from nuclear weapons in the new exhibition, A Message to Humanity. We offer tours in both English and Norwegian.
The Nobel Peace Center conveys the history of the Nobel Peace Prize and the values and work of the peace prize laureates. Our vision is to inspire action for peace, justice, and human rights. Visit us and find inspiration for a more peaceful everyday life!
