Step behind the scenes at the Nobel Peace Center – in the Pop-Up Studio we offer the public a sneak peek into the process of creating a new exhibition.

In 2026, the Nobel Peace Center will open a new permanent exhibition that will tell the story of the Nobel Peace Prize winners from 1901 to today. The exhibition will be created in dialogue with the public who areinvited into the beginning of the process of creating the exhibition. The open Pop-Up Studio is an exciting opportunity for anyone curious about how an exhibition comes to life.

Following several workshops with external people bringing different perspectives, the public is now invited into the Pop-Up Studio to take part in the dialogue shaping the new exhibition.

A Creative Window into the Process

The Pop-Up Studio, open on Wednesday this week, gives visitors a chance to experience parts of the exhibition work up close and get the opertunity to affect the process. On Wednesday and Thursday, passersby at Aker Brygge can catch a glimpse through a window in the facade, revealing a red room, The Tiny Talks Room – a symbol ofthe Peace Center’s new heart. Speakers on the outside allow passersby to listen in on discussions and ideas being exchanged in the room, thus becoming part of the creative process that is shaping the upcoming exhibition.

Open for visitors to engage with the creators of the exhibition

On Friday 11:00-17:00, the Pop-Up Studio will be open to the public, offering visitors the opportunity to get an exclusive first look at this unique exhibition-making journey. Here, you can meet the people behind the exhibitions at the Nobel Peace Center, ask questions, and share your thoughts on what should be included in the new exhibition. With dialogue being one of the core values of the Nobel Peace Center, this interaction plays a crucial role in shaping the new exhibition. It’s also a chance to engage directly with a project that highlights key events and figures in world history.
